The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Publicist to develop and deliver publicity campaigns that support the NGV’s communications, public relations and audience engagement strategies.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will be responsible for developing and executing high-level and strategic publicity and content campaigns that positively promote NGV’s exhibitions, major events, programs, festivals and activities as well as media and publicity campaigns including pitching, drafting media materials and organising media events for NGV’s exhibitions and programs, in association with the Senior Publicist and Associate Director, Media and Public Affairs. Other key responsibilities include:
To be successful, you will have a tertiary qualification in communications or public relations with demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of media and communication strategies in the corporate, marketing and public affairs environments, coupled with excellent creative writing and editorial skills.
You can prepare media releases, key messages, speeches, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language, ensure written communications contain necessary information to achieve their purpose and use appropriate styles and formats.
