The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Conservation, to manage processes, systems, procedures and projects that enable the strategic preservation and care of the NGV Collection by the Conservation team.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will be working closely with the Associate Director, Conservation, in contributing to the development of conservation systems, procedures and practices that enhance the preservation, storage, transport, display and management of the NGV Collection. Other key responsibilities include:
To be successful, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification coupled with demonstrated experience in providing project, administrative and operational support, including coordination of activities, maintenance of records, budget monitoring and stakeholder liaison within a high-profile cultural organisation.
You are able to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably, use analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems and analyse issues from different perspectives. You plan, prioritise and review work based on what is important to achieve, identify or develop overall team goals and link strategies and actions required to achieve these goals.
Knowledge and/or interest in art history, art trends and art museum practices is an advantage.
