The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Membership Strategy, to coordinate and deliver the NGV Membership strategy to enhance Member satisfaction, retention, and long-term engagement.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

You will be responsible for drawing upon relevant knowledge and experience to position NGV Members as a key audience in the long-term strategic planning of the organisation, including working with the Head of Customer Service to develop and implement initiatives that enable the acquisition and retention of new and existing Members and deepen engagement. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Using high-level communication skills to develop regular Member communications, including tailoring communications to specific Membership tiers.
  • Being an ambassador for NGV Members through face-to-face engagement, including at Members events and programs.
  • Developing and presenting proposals, reports, and presentations to support NGV Membership strategies, and analysing the success of campaigns and initiatives to inform future planning.
  • Managing and mentoring NGV Members staff to maintain a high level of service, including providing individual and team performance feedback. Maintaining individual and group performance documentation according to NGV policies and procedures.

To be successful, you will have extensive experience in developing and evaluating a range of strategies specific to engaging and representing a Membership group, coupled with high-level capability to analyse and project Membership success based on data and analysis.

You plan and review work based on what is important to achieve, rather than what tasks are usually done. You identify and develop overall team goals and link strategies and actions required to achieve these goals.

You generate new ideas and translate ideas into creative outcomes or workplace improvements. You can draw on a range of information sources to identify new ways of doing things and actively influence events and promote ideas. You are proactive and self-starting, seize opportunities and act upon them.

Previous experience with CRM software and/or Membership experience across the commercial sector are highly desirable.
