The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Senior Finance Officer – Payables, to oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant processing of all supplier invoices and payments.
The position focuses on workflow efficiency and strong internal controls, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will be responsible for overseeing the processing of supplier invoices (including foreign currency transactions), processing of EFT payments and distribution of remittance advices in a timely manner and in accordance with NGV policy and procedures. Other key responsibilities include:
To be successful, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications (preferably in Finance/Accounting) with a strong working knowledge of accounting software packages.
You can deal with concepts and complexity comfortably, able to use numbers and numerical concepts to convey and obtain information, insights and ideas, use analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems and analyse issues from different perspectives. You observe fine details, identify gaps in information, look for logical sequences of information and highlight practical considerations of plans and activities.
Previous experience with D365 is desired.
