The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a casual Sessional Teacher to facilitate high quality learning experiences that engage diverse audiences and foster connections between visitors and the NGV Collection and exhibitions.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will be responsible for using innovative teaching strategies and methods, including digital tools, to facilitate engaging and socially rewarding learning experiences (onsite, online and outreach) relevant to the interests, needs and backgrounds of different audiences, including students of all levels, adult learners and teachers, corporate and community groups. To be successful, you will have an appropriate teaching qualification coupled with demonstrated understanding of key Victorian curriculum frameworks and the value of Art and Design education in lifelong learning. You have experience in designing and delivering engaging learning experiences in an education setting or cultural organisation, and the ability to adapt teaching and facilitation methods to learners of different needs, interests and experience, including students of all levels, adults and EAL learners.
Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching is highly desirable.
